Best Paintings of all Time

Sir Joseph Noel Paton's (1821–1901) 'The Quarrel of Oberon and Titania'. It's an interpretation of an incident in Shakespeare's play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. Actually, there is so much to say about this painting, that I think that it's better for everyone to actually see it.

And Peter Paul Rubens's (1577-1640) 'The Fall of the Damned'. Here Rubens one of the most prolific painters of all time did a so powerful and controverse painting that has a history of tormenting it's viewers to the point that one of them tried to destroy the work with acid claiming to actually be "relieving one from the work of destruction".
